When the lands of Thorbern were under siege in the 15th century, King Torbe led his eight squad army against the massive orc legion led by the evil Sorcerer Zahanna, who cast a curse on the King, possessing half of his soul to gain power. Zahanna proceeded to murder every being in the kingdom to feed on their souls. Desperate to save his kingdom, King Torbe proclaimed his only surviving child - a daughter, Torberta, the new ruler of Thorbern on his deathbed. Angered and devastated over the death of her family, Torberta called on the ancient Viking gods for help, and defeated Zahanna with the mighty axe of Bern.
