For white drops I recommend a blending mode MULTIPLY( Window--Layers--Multiply), for blue drops is suitable a blending mode SCREEN and MULTIPLY+ light coloured background. ( If you use blue drops for dark background, use a blending mode Color burn or Linear burn.
