The Fairytales Floral Collection

  I have always been a big fan of traditional storytime fairytales. I used to read the original tales by Hans Christian Anderson, the Grimm Brothers, and many more as a child. Something interesting to me that I tended to notice was that many of these stories drew a connection from the characters to the flora and fauna around them. It was with this in mind that I created the Fairytales Floral Collection!    Included are these sets: The Cold and Empty Splendor (The Snow Queen) As White as Snow (Snow White) She Was a Real Princess (Princess and the Pea) Fine as Spun Gold (Rapunzel) On the Edge of the Spring (The Frog Prince)  Like a Flower on the Wind (Sleeping Beauty) The Clock Struck Twelve (Cinderella) Pure Air Beyond the Glittering Stars (The Little Mermaid) Her Sense of Curiosity (Bluebeard) Like a Warm Sun Shone Upon Us (Thumbelina)   Each one is drawn from the original fairy tales. It was great fun to dig out my old book full of tales for this collection! When painting, I tried to make them both modern and fresh, as well as nostalgic.
